The highly detailed Rogers Q locomotive is a regular runner at the Manukau Live Steamers club in New Zealand. It is owned and operated by Rankin and Jenny KENNEDY.

The Upfold girls showed a lot of interest in the new locomotive designed and built by Richard and Norm TAYLOR. They were offered a driver training session which they really enjoyed, just look at their faces. The battery electric loco is powered by a 750 watt 24 volt DC motor and Curtis 1203A Electronic control unit.

The PHANTOM locomotive has been used by many young engineers to learn the art of running a steam locomotive - Here Rankin Kennedy is using Dave Giles' loco to teach his grandson the finer points of steam loco operation. The Manukau Live Steamers has a policy of getting junior engineers at the controls as soon as they show aptitude as an engineer

This "Route of the Corncob" 2-8-0 is owned by Zach Mikko. Engine was at one time fired on corncobs by the original builder, Wilbur Kloppenberg, thus the nickname was born.
